As the festive season approaches, I would like to wish everybody at the club, a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

It is with regret that I have to announce Jane Wilson our club treasurer will be leaving the club at the beginning of January and returning home to Australia. On behalf of the Committee and the Club I would like to thank Jane for her contribution, dedication, and hard work she has given to the club over the last 18 months. I would also like to wish Caitlin and Rhyanna all the best and I am sure that they too will be greatly missed by all the friends they have made in the club whilst they have been with us. We hope to see them swimming for Australia in the future.

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome Branka Sharples as our newly appointed club treasurer; Branka will be taking over the role from when Jane leaves in January.

Stuart Anwyl our current membership secretary will be at All Seasons Leisure Centre on Sunday 5:30pm till 8:30pm for parents to collect their ASA and Marlins membership forms for 2012. Alternatively parents can email him at memberships@chorleymarlins.org.uk or text him on 07970259079 and he will post them out to them.

I'd just like to take the opportunity to commend all the swimmers who took part in the Kendal Arena League gala on Saturday the 10th December 2011. It was a great finish to an incredible Arena season.

Chorley Marlins finished in 4th place overall out of the 17 teams that took part, which is no mean feat considering the opposition.

Well done to all those that made the long journey north and on behalf of the committee I'd like to thank all the swimmers, coaches, pool side helpers and parents for their tremendous support, as always it's much appreciated.
