It was great to see the home advantage of the staggered roof causing some of the other teams problems as they tried to stay on course trying desparately to see the clipboards held up by their coaches at the end of the lane. Meanwhile the Chorley Marlins swimmers stayed on course as straight as a die.
It was nice to see the Team looking smart with everyone well dressed for our home gala. Also nice to see the team morale was good, with other team members cheering on from shallow end, the three cheers at the end was a bit subdued but most people had left at that point.
One comment was that some swimmers seemed to forget how to sprint backstroke, in other wernt kicking their legs. . It is a hard stroke to sprint , I struggle too, use my legs more and try to not loose the arm technique , but didn't look like some knew what to do. . ( apart from Georgia... Super swims )
Dives getting better , takeovers improving .
Lovely to see so many 10 year old girls coming through . Can we find some 9 year olds !
