There will be an informal meeting to organise the forthcoming gala's and presentation evening, this Sunday 10th May about 5:30pm, at Chorley All Seasons.
If you would like to help then please come along. The spinning class that was introduced for the District squad to make up for the hour pool time they lost has proved a winner for our top swimmers.
With there being 24 bikes but only 10 being used by District, we've decided to try and fill the class on a first come first served basis. This is aimed at those squads that do land training and parents are also welcome to attend, however there will be a nominal fee of £3/bike, which is subsidised by the club as they are normally over £4. If you are interested the class takes place from 5:45-6:45pm every Tuesday in the spinning studio upstairs at All seasons Leisure Centre, Chorley. It has also been noted that a few children have been left waiting and hanging around outside the training venues after training has finished. For the child's safety could we ask that your child stays inside the building until their parent comes in to collect them.
It has been noted that a few swimmers are turning up late for sessions without pre-arrangement, can we ask that you all turn up on time to ensure an appropriate warm up session.
Regards Chorley Marlins One of the things to come from the club survey we issued out last month was the fact that parents have little feedback as to how their child is progressing. To address this it was suggested to run parental feedback sessions, but due to the sheer number of swimmers we have it would be impossible to give quality feedback to everyone.
Therefore we have decided to implement the following system: If you would like to speak to your child's coach then please leave a note in the Marlins postbox at All Seasons Leisure Centre, with the Swimmers Name, Squad, Lane number & Coaches name they wish to speak to. The coach can then read up on any notes made about their swimmer in the coaches book and thus arrange a meeting with the parents. The BMSS gala results and review are now available, have a look at here:
