The District Squad represents Chorley Marlins’ highest performance squad, designed to prepare swimmers for competition at North Lancs, County, Regional — and ultimately National — levels.

Swimmers with advanced technique, consistent training history, and ambition to compete at high levels.
Training commitment
- Six pool sessions each week, totalling around 10.5 hours
- Additional land / strength / injury-prevention training
Focus & progression
- Refinement of stroke technique, power, and efficiency
- Aerobic and anaerobic development for high performance
- Race tactics, pacing strategies, and psychological preparation
- Accountability, leadership, and resilience
Expectations & representation
- Compete regularly in Open Meets, county and regional championships
- Represent Chorley Marlins in team competitions (Arena League, etc.)
- Minimum attendance of 75% (or equivalent commitment) to maintain progress and eligibility
- Swimmers should demonstrate discipline, consistency, and professional attitude
