 Entries are open for the City of Sheffield Swim Squad Summer Meet 2025. DATE: Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th July 2025 VENUE: Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Sheffield. This is a long course (50m Pool) event. AGE GROUPS: Female: 9, 10, 11, 12, 13/14, 15/Over Open/Male:: 9, 10, 11, 12, 13/14, 15/Over Ages as at Sunday 13th July 2025 EVENTS: 50m All Strokes - HDW 100m All Strokes – HDW 200m All Strokes & I.M – HDW 400m Freestyle & 400m I.M - HDW Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each age group in each event. All measurements in cm and swimwear is made to be tight fitting, so if in doubt go up a size . All swimwear is made to order so please follow the size guide carefully.  Members may be interested in enrolling for the SENW Young Volunteer Award. The Swim England North West Young Volunteer Award is designed to provide young people, between the ages of 14 and 17 at the start of the course, the opportunity to develop the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to prepare them as Volunteers within Aquatic Sport.

Swimmers are reminded they must be on their best behaviour in changing rooms (before and after swimming) and respect others using the changing rooms and facilities. Swimmers are expected to behave at all times in a manner that upholds the good reputation of the Club.
We have received reports of some silly behaviour in the shower area, members are expected to quickly shower, get changed and then vacate the building after training. The changing room policy in Wavepower prohibits all use of a mobile phone or device in a changing area during Swim England regulated activity. This includes, but is not limited to taking photos, texting, making phone calls and browsing the internet.  We would welcome any donations of bottles, gifts, wine, vouchers or chocolates etc. for raffle prizes as we have the Chorley Marlins Spring Meet on Sunday.
Any donation large or small would be greatly appreciated, please bring them to Darwen on Sunday.  A reminder that there is no training on Sunday 16th March due to Chorley Marlins Spring Meet.
