Sorry to do this to you but we've just had word from the regional swimming team that the long course training at Manchester is back on and will take place in the training pool downstairs at the Manchester Aquatics Centre.
We have all 4 lanes available to us from 4:30pm - 6:30pm. Lately it has been noticed that standards are slipping when it comes to competition swimwear with swimmers wearing all sorts of brightly coloured attire and wearing the wrong caps.
Can we please remind all swimmers and parents of the need to be as uniform as possible when competing so we all look like part of a team. Frankie & Bennie caps and BAE Systems caps were designed to be used in their respective League galas (Micro League & North Lancs), you should have a Chorley Marlins cap for competing at Open competitions that we enter. We have actually taken on board your frustrations in ordering the Ying Fa swimwear and have decided to relax the swimwear policy. Which is basically any make, plain Blue or Black costume (No Bright Colours) Please see the Swim kit page for more details It has become apparent when looking at our current swim training schedule that certain squads don't get the training time they need at Chorley to support their development. It is with this in mind that we've decided to swap around some of our training sessions with effect from this Saturday 5th October.
Please take the time to read and acknowledge the following changes: JD & District squads are to move from Sat 5-7pm @ Chorley to - Sat 10-12am @ Brinscall Intermediates are to move from Sat 10:30-12am @ Brinscall to - Sat 5-6:30pm @ Chorley Alpha Squad are to move from Sat 10:30-11:30am @ Brinscall to - Sat 5-6pm @ Chorley Mini Plus are to move from Sat 11:30-12am @ Brinscall to - Sat 6-6:30 @ Chorley We know that this may not please all or fit with other activities but it has been done with the best of intentions, to give the younger squads a chance to practice at Chorley and thus improve their starts off the blocks. |
