The Duel in the Pool series is a local competition between Leyland and Chorley and involves everyone from the club who isn't eligible to swim in the Microleague galas (i.e 12 years old and over). The cost of entry is £5 and the competition is spread over 3 prelim rounds and then a final round. To be eligible to swim in the final competitors must have swum in 2 of the 3 prelim rounds. Everyone swims 25m and 50m in all stroke disciplines and the times are collated and points are awarded for the fastest 50 swimmers. It's a great competition that allows something different to the normal training routine, the kids really enjoy competing. If you're interested in joining in the fun then please leave your name on the comments section below or put your name on the sheet which will be attached to the board. Dates: Round 1 - Mon 26th September @ Leyland 7-10pm Round 2 - Mon 14th november @ Chorley 7-10pm Round 3 - TBC Final - TBC

Hi Chris, the age cut off is the same as for Microleague, the 30th November. If Emily is 12 in October then she would still be eligible to swim in the Microleague galas and would therefore not be able to take part in Duel in the Pool. Hope that helps but if i were you I'd confirm with Mary
