The spinning class that was introduced for the District squad to make up for the hour pool time they lost has proved a winner for our top swimmers.
With there being 24 bikes but only 10 being used by District, we've decided to try and fill the class on a first come first served basis. This is aimed at those squads that do land training and parents are also welcome to attend, however there will be a nominal fee of £3/bike, which is subsidised by the club as they are normally over £4. If you are interested the class takes place from 5:45-6:45pm every Tuesday in the spinning studio upstairs at All seasons Leisure Centre, Chorley.

Please can you clarify - do we now have to book/pay for this for District squad swimmers?

Hi Audra, no the District squad is paid for by the club to make up for the lost pool time on Fridays.

Are these classes open to an 'improver squad' swimmer?

Hi Geoff, the decision to offer the spinning classes to all Land Training squads, which doesn't include Improver's, was made due to the height requirements needed for the spinning bikes and also the level of exertion. I think the minimum height is 140cm and also a certain level of fitness is required. If your child is quite tall and you're willing for them to be drilled hard then by all means come along and give it a go.
