Chorley Marlin's, Olivia Broome, was selected to represent the North West at the prestigious School Games, held at Loughborough University and Sheffield’s Ponds Forge Swimming Pool in September.
1600 elite school age children took part in the games competing in twelve Olympic and Paralympic sports: Fencing, Rugby Sevens, Gymnastics, Hockey, Athletics, Cycling, Judo, Swimming, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Wheelchair Basketball and Wheelchair Tennis, with disability events in seven sports: Athletics, Fencing, Swimming, Table Tennis, Cycling, Wheelchair Basketball and Wheelchair Tennis. The Games were designed to provide the full Olympic and Paralympic experience, there were even opening and closing ceremonies! Olivia proved that she isn’t just a great swimmer, winning Gold in the Ambulant Discus and Silver in the Ambulant Shot. Fantastic achievements Olivia!

They are a very talented pair. I'm really happy for them. Their parents must be so proud of them. It's rare to see talented individuals like them, having a wide set of skills in different fields. They have a bright future ahead of them. I'm sure that they'll be successful in this sport, and in their academics as well.
