Looking at the results below it looked like a really tough fixture at Lancaster against some strong opposition, well done to all those that took part, great effort from all I'm sure.

Well done to the 9 swimmers we had representing Chorley Marlins at this years Lancs County Championships they were: Luke Batty, Jack Hardman, Lizzie Woodcock, Chloe Cottam, Georgia Ashton, Isaac Brennand, Jordan O'Hara, Amelia Arcangelo and Joe Arcangelo. A great 2 weekends swimming from all of you, particularly Jack H who achieved 4 regional qualifying times and also Isaac B who got the gold in the final of the 50m & 100m Breast events. Great job eveyyone keep up the good work
Well done to all those that took part in this years joint Shrimps gala between Chorley & Leyland, held at All Seasons in Chorley for children aged 8 or 9. Some great swims by all, keep up the good work. Have a look at the results below.
The North Lancashire Championships were a great success for marlins swimmers. 24 of our swimmers travelled to Blackpool over the 2 weekends to compete in the gala. For a small club we had a spectacular medal haul. In total we gained 25 medals 14 of which were golds. Well done to the 4 swimmers who travelled to Manchester to compete on the 20th and 21st of December. It was a strong competition with the likes of commonwealth gold medalist, Hannah Miley competing. Our swimmers swam well considering the competition was just before the Christmas break. A Well done goes to Lizzie Woodcock who gained 6 silver medals out of her 7 events, some of which came down to very close finishes. Along with the other swimmers' great performances Chorley Marlins finished 8th out of 39 teams in the club standings. These were based on the average fina points and were appropriately named 'club quality rankings'. See the standings below:
