On the 7th and 8th December several of our swimmers traveled to Darwen Leisure Centre to take part in Preston's annual Xmas meet. Well done to all our swimmers who took part, we had a fabulous haul of medals, PB's and speeding tickets. Please see the results attached below.
2013 Inter Association - Blackpool, November 30/December 1 For those that are unaware what the inter association gala is, it's where the best of the North Lancs swimmers from the region compete against our closest regional competition. The swimmers are chosen from the times that they have achieved at the North Lancs gala's that are held at Blackpool in October and January, and it's a great honor to be chosen to represent your region at this level. 8 Chorley Marlins swimmers were selected to swim which is a great testament to the effort our swimmers and coaching staff are putting in these days. Well Done to Alex Highcock, Elodie Smallwood, Lizzie Woodcock, Maddie Kennedy, Luka Hyam, Isaac Brennand, Stephen Hancock and Jack Hardman. Unfortunately we couldn't replicate the win of 2012 but we did finish in second place by a comfortable margin Please see the results below for details. Table Positions 1. Liverpool & District 868 2. North Lancs 703 3. Manchester & District 471 4. Cumbria 423 5. Central Lancs 414 6. North Midlands 311
It's that time of year with Christmas closing fast that Chorley Marlins hold their annual Distance Meet. Spread over two days our swimmers competed in all strokes and medley events ranging in distance from 200m to 400m, including the dreaded 400m IM. A great turn out by swimmers and spectators alike helped make for a great atmosphere, which wouldn't be possible without our ever helpful volunteers who helped make the gala run as smooth as possible. A big Thank You to all involved. Well Done and thank you for all those that took part. Please see the attached results below for a full run down of position by age group.
The 2nd round at Bury didn't quite go according to plan, with a lot of our swimmers not producing their best but never the less we collected enough points to secure a place in the Division 1 top final, finishing in 4th place after 2 galas. The top 6 go through to the division final to swim for promotion to the premier league. See the league table after round 2 Below is the lane draw and warm up times for the final at Broughton on the 14th December
