On Sat 10th & Sun 11th March, we will be doing some club timings so that individuals can have up to date times for entry into various gala's i.e. Wrexham & Blackpool in May

Please  be aware that if you have expressed a wish to do the time keepers course then you must be ASA registered to attend.

If you have not paid your ASA registration fee then you will not be able to take part.

ASA AND YOUTH SPORT TRUST LAUNCH THE 2012 YOUNG COACHES PROGRAMME

There is a new initiative launched on the 1st February for young people who are interested in up-skilling to a Level 1 teaching/coaching qualification.

It represents a great opportunity for the Club and the individual to improve themselves. The scheme asks that the Club pays £50 in support for the young volunteer and in return the volunteer can access

• A level 1 course
• A mentor
• 4 free online CPD's

If you are aged 16-19 then please consider this, download the application form below and get booked onto a course that suits you. The £50 fee is payable by the club it will not cost the individual anything, and this represents a significant saving on the usual £400 cost.

The following swimmers have been selected to swim for Chorley Marlins at this weekends opening North Lancs gala.

For those that are interested every day during this February half term @ the Manchester Aquatics Centre, there are 2 sessions of inflatable fun for only £1.50 per person. see the attached PDF for more details on opening times etc.

Water depth = 1.5m
Children must be able to swim at least 25m unaided.

Manchester long course training on the 25th Feb 2012 from 6:30pm-8:30pm.

Just a quick post to congratulate all those swimmers that were able to take part in the North Lancs Age Group Championships @ Blackpool.

Spread over 2 full weekends in both January and February this gala is an important one for those searching for Lancashire County times, and as such the qualifying times are quite hard to achieve.

This year we're glad to report that we had a record attendance at the gala, and not only that we've had quite a few swimmers achieving their county time targets, that they'd set themselves.

A full report will be available when the official results are in, but in the mean time a big well done to all involved.
