Improver Squad
The Improver Squad is the next step for swimmers progressing from Alpha Squad, focusing on developing competitive skills, refining technique, and preparing for more advanced training and competition.
Swimmers build on the strong technical foundation established in earlier squads and are encouraged to take greater responsibility for their own development. Sessions combine in-water training with poolside coaching to help swimmers understand and apply advanced technique corrections and racing skills.
Focus areas
Coaches use demonstrations and individual feedback to develop technical competence and confidence in both training and competition environments.
Swimmers in the Improver Squad are encouraged to take part in internal club galas and open meets, and may also be invited to represent Chorley Marlins in team competitions such as the Micro League.
