JD Squad
The aim of the JD Squad is to give a handful of Junior swimmers the chance to hone their technique with an extra hour of training available to get them ready for the transition into District.
The JD Squad currently swim 5 times a week totaling 8 hours pool time and one hour doing land training. The objectives of land training are to supplement the time in the water by teaching swimmers about general fitness, building core strength and diet.
They are expected to be able to read a session plan on the white board and manage themselves through a session, which then allows their coach to concentrate on their swimming and addressing any issues found.
Swimmers will need to be dedicated and have a good level of self-motivation, and all swimmers in this squad are expected to achieve a minimum 75% attendance.
