Another great round for Chorley Marlins, really punching above our own weight with the big boys.

Another year is nearly at an end and that can only mean one thing,  the Chorley Marlins Annual Distance Meet.

Some great performances from all those involved, just looking at updating the open age records and only one tumbled this year and that was Anna Doughty breaking her own record from the previous year for the 200m Breast, well done Anna.

One more time caught my attention and that was James Highcock in the 200m breast with a time of 2:47.06 very good indeed and only 5 seconds off Adam Shaw's record 2:43.82 set way back in 2008, go for it next year James you can have it :)


It's difficult to say much more as I wasn't there on the night but again thanks to all the swimmers who participated, you're doing us proud keep up the good work.

As always it goes without saying but I'll say it anyway, thanks to all the people that work tirelessly behind the scenes and at the gala to make the evening run smoothly, THANKS you know who you are :)

We've had a great season in the Arena league in our first year in Division 1.

Take a look at the standings after the 2nd round and you'll see we made it into the middle final. Which means we won't be going for promotion to the Premier League but conversely we won't be fighting the relegation battle either :)
