These championships were held over two weekends in March : the first on 8th/9th March at Liverpool and the second on 15th/16th March at Manchester Aquatics. The club was represented by a contingent of 23 swimmers, our highest to date. The first weekend was the quieter of the two for us, being the 'distance' weekend, but we had swimmers in all events except the 800 and 1500 free. There were plenty of solid swims and pb's. Podium finishes are extremely hard to come by in these championships. Unfortunately we didn't manage any in the first weekend but there were ten top 10 places which was a great achievement. The second weekend saw the swimmers come into their own. A total of 26 top 10 places were achieved, an average of almost 2 per event which is fantastic for a relatively small club. This time there were 7 podium finishes, a huge well done to the swimmers below: Gold - Tom Gibbs (50 fly and 100 fly) Silver - Isaac Brennand (50 breast) Bronze - Anna Doughty (50 breast and 50 fly) Alex Highcock (50 breast) Special mention also goes to Chloe Cottam who achieved three more regional qualifying times (200IM, 400IM and 200 free ) to add to the 5 she already has! and to Jack Hardman who achieved his first ever regional qualifying time in the 100 free. Well done! A great two weekends' work by all our swimmers who did the club proud. See below for our swimmers' report. Full results can be viewed on the Lancs county swimming website.

Well done to all those swimmers that represented Chorley at last weekends Microleague gala @ Leyland, it's going to be tough season in Division A against some stiff competition. Take a look at the PDF attached below fora full race by race breakdown.
Well done to all the swimmers from Leyland and Chorley who competed in this seasons Duel in the Pool, the results of the final round are posted below, along with the age group medal winners. Well done to all those that entered Blackpool in January and February, it's normally a tough gala to get entry into and it goes to show how well we did just by the amount of entries we had. Well Done to the following podium finishers listed below, a great achievement against the cream of Lancashire. Special mention must go to both Isaac Brennand and Liam Donohoe who showed what great all round swimmers they are by bagging (pardon the pun) 2nd and 3rd respectively in the 10 years BAGCAT awards. Great Job Boys, keep it up. The full results are attached below:
Well done to all our younger swimmers who despite the short notice turned up last Saturday to support our annual Shrimps gala. It's a great way to introduce the delights of competitive swimming to our younger swimmers. We hope you all enjoyed the experience and are hungry for more. Check out the results file below to see how you got on.
