Microleague NW Round 4 @ Chorley, Saturday 5th July 2014

Despite good all round effort by Marlins swimmers in the last micro league gala on Saturday, they narrowly missed out on securing their place in Division A.  They will therefore be competing in the 'Division A swim off' at Blackpool in September against Clitheroe (also from division A) as well as Wigan and Lancaster from Division B.
On the day, Chorley Marlins finished 3rd behind Preston 'A' who finished 3rd in the league and Pioneer 79 who finished 5th overall. They achieved 107 points which placed them 28 points ahead of Clitheroe.

There were great performances from swimmers who had to compete in older age groups, they were: Georgia Ashton, Isaac Brennand, Scott Paynter, Liam Hardman and Joe Arcangelo.
Individual wins were achieved by: Lizzie Woodcock(free+fly), Georgia Ashton(fly+back), Isaac Brennand(breast+fly), Joe Arcangelo(free) and Luka Hyam(back).
