Apologies to anyone who has taken an entry pack from All Seasons for the Lancs county champs in the last few days. The closing date is incorrect and should read Sunday 10th Feb 2013.
I will not be able to attend on that date as I normally would, as I am in Sheffield all weekend at a gala so if you have any queries pls ensure you e-mail me at [email protected] in plenty of time. Or feel free to catch me at Blackpool on Saturday this coming weekend if your child has completed their events by then.
Please also note that when submitting your times you need to take into account any converted 50m pool times, if you have any, which may be quicker than their latest 25m pool time.

Great news! All entries are in and have been accepted. We were in fact the first club to submit entries.
The only change there may be, as stated in the conditions, is that the numbers may be restricted for the 400 free and the 400IM if oversubscribed due to time restraints. This could only potentially affect 5 swimmers. We will only be notified about this after the closing date has passed (6th April). Feel free to book your accommodation now if you haven't already.

The entry pack for the above championships is now available on the 'open galas' tab under 'galas' on the home page. Forms will also be available below the notice board at All Seasons. Please check if your child qualifies for any event/note the qualification period time that the time must have been obtained in. Only ASA registered times will be allowed. There were a couple of mistakes on the original schedule of events, only to do with the ages concerned, the correct one is in the pack.
Ignore instructions on the entry form, completed forms and payment to be placed in the post box at All Seasons as usual.

Please note, in particular for those swimmers who want to compete and did not qualify for the upcoming North Lancs gala in Jan/Feb, it has been decided to enter this gala and not Blackpool Rocks which is at the end of May. Therefore any swimmer who qualifies for this meet should enter, there is unlikely to be any other gala until June, due to the County champs and the Easter holidays.
This is the only gala we enter which is on a first come first served basis. The closing date was brought forward last year due to the number of entries and we missed out. To prevent this from happening again I intend to submit the entries extra early and therefore cannot wait for the North Lancs gala to be completed.
As a lot of people will be at Blackpool on the 19th/20th Jan and so will not be training the  closing date will be Tuesday 22nd January 2013.   Late entries will not be accepted.
Please also consider carefully whether you book any accommodation in advance. Unfortunately it's a catch 22 situation because if you wait until the entries have been confirmed you may struggle to book anywhere. I would suggest that if you do, you book one which has the free cancellation facility.
