HUGE congratulations to Luka Hyam who has today obtained his first ever regional qualifying time in the 200 back!
He will now be the youngest member of our team of 5 swimmers going to regionals, together with Jack Hardman, Alex Highcock, Chloe Cottam and Lizzie Woodcock, our highest number of swimmers to represent Chorley Marlins at this level. Well done to all and most of all good luck !! Ashley - Comp Sec For those of you that are new to this years micro league, please note that spectator space is at a premium at Southport, there is very limited viewing space. As such Southport have limited spectators to one per swimmer, and have issued tickets to each club. Access to the pool will be by ticket only, which Mary will hand out when you get to Southport. Please indicate below if you are going to spectate, or if you aren't, then we have an idea if we have any spare tickets available.
thanks Chorley Marlins. For the info of all entrants to the Wrexham gala in May - there is now a draft programme available on their website www.wrexhamswimmingclub.co.uk
JD and Juniors to train at Brinscall 7 till 8:30, district and C3 to train at Chorley 7 till 9.
Please arrive at All Seasons for 7:50am as the coach will be leaving Chorley at 8:00am.
Could those swimmers that are attending, that didn't do the Asda bag packing, please pay their £20 before Wednesday 16th April by leaving their name and cheque in the post box at All Seasons. This will allow Mary time to finalise the squads in time. The coach will arrive back at Chorley between 1:45 and 2:00pm Thank You. We have made the decision to cancel the early training session at Brinscall for Easter Sunday and move training to Chorley in the evening as follows:
District & Club3 to train @ Chorley 5-7pm JD & Juniors to train @ Chorley 6-8pm Due to coaching staff shortages over the Easter weekend it has been decided that we have to cancel land training on Easter Sunday.
The club has made the decision that the swim camp will only be for the Intermediates squads and above, due to the physical demands and schedule of the planned sessions. We're sorry for any upset caused but we are looking into running another event targeted at those younger swimmers in the future.
There will be a coach taking all the swimmers to Southport and parents are welcome to join, but could you please specify if you're going by coach and how many spaces you require, so we can decide how big a coach to order.
