You will receive an email from SE confirming your renewal. It has been an uncertain and troubled year for everyone but hopefully things are progressing positively now. Unfortunately we don’t have an exact date for when we can return but as soon as we do we will contact you with training times and sessions. Be assured Mary and her team are working hard to ensure everything runs smoothly once we do return. With regard to 2021 Swim England membership renewal. We where on a tight schedule to submit our clubs renewal and understand anyone’s hesitation in making the decision to renew their membership in these uncertain circumstances. Because of this we unfortunately had to lapse any member who hadn’t renewed by 25 February. Please don’t worry, If you missed the renewal deadline and still wish to renew, you can contact Claire or Bev by email [email protected] [email protected] who can process your renewal. Thank you again for your continued support. Additional dates have been added for SENW's Sports Psychology Programme. Some swimmer have attended a recent session and found it beneficial. It has now been opened up for more swimmers but as places are limited it is recommended that you sign up as soon as possible.
In partnership with Lancaster University, Swim England North West have arranged a number of online workshops for athletes of all ages and disciplines. Please note all athletes under the age of 18, must be accompanied by a parent throughout the full session. Athletes will be put into break out rooms dependant on their age. If your kids are missing the pool and you want to use their love of swimming to motivate them while you are home schooling, the Institute of Swimming has created some activities for you. We have extended the Swim England membership renewal deadline until Sunday 21st February.
Swimmers need to be registered and insured with Swim England to be able to swim once training resumes. Extending the deadline will give more swimmers the opportunity to return to training as soon as we are allowed to open up again, we are hoping for good news in Mondays announcement. The Club has decided that all swimmers should renew as a CAT1 member (£16.20) until competitions resume. Please complete the membership form and make payment of £16.20 by Sunday. Forms can be downloaded from here Swim England membership renewals need to be completed and returned along with payment by Sunday 14th February. Until training resumes and to comply with the renewal deadline from Swim England, the Club has decided that all swimmers should renew as a CAT1 member (£16.20) until competitions resume. Once competitions and leagues resume, members who are over the age of 9 years or turn 9 years old in 2021 will be asked to upgrade their membership to CAT2. Swimmers need to be registered and insured with Swim England to be able to swim once training resumes. If any swimmers do not renew their membership, they will no longer be classed as Club members. To comply with the renewal deadline from Swim England, we have had to bring the deadline forward to 14th February. We hope to be back in the pool training as soon as we are allowed to. Sports minister Nigel Huddleston has confirmed to Swim England that the reopening of facilities as soon as it is safe to do so is a priority – as they are a ‘powerful defence’ against the coronavirus pandemic. Mary has seen a preview of the the Sport Rehabilitation course which she says looks very good. It does say that the 13-15 age group is fully booked but she still suggest swimmers try and book on as they may be able to slot them in a different age group. Sport Rehabilitation Programme – In Partnership with Liverpool Hope University Following an introduction seminar delivered in January 2021, please see further details of the programme and how to register your attendance.
