At some stage in each warm up sprint lanes will be made available

To avoid overcrowding we would encourage there being one parent per swimmer in the spectator gallery.

Price of entry will be £10 per person for the full day, or alternatively it will be £5 per session per person.

They will have the facility to pay by card on the entry door should you prefer.

In preparation for our Club Championships - Spring Meet, there will be time trials taking place on the following dates during training:

Saturday 2nd March - Development Group and Alphas
Tuesday 5th March - Improvers and Intermediates
Friday 8th March - Juniors

This is for the purpose of seeding heats. Swimmers may want to bring a spare towel / t-shirt.

As a competitive swimming club we would expect all members from Development Group and all training squads from Alphas and up to enter this meet as part of their swimming development.

Members from Alpha Squad and above should bring their own training equipment to all training sessions. Swimmers should have a kickboard, pull buoy and short training fins. Ideally they should  also have a mesh bag to carry it in. Please do not purchase equipment that is too large, for many swimmers a junior kickboard and junior pull buoy will be the correct size. Members should also always bring a filled unbreakable water bottle to training.

Our first fixture of the 2024 Micro League NW takes places on Sunday 25th February at
Darwen Leisure Centre BB3 1PW. Warm up is 1.30pm.

The individual times from last weeks Duel in the Pool at Leyland are attached below. 

There were 33 Marlins and 60 Barracudas swimmers competing. So the final points are equalised to only count the first 33 swimmers from each club in each event.

 Final points Leyland 5,722 and Chorley 3,119  

Well done to everyone who competed.

The Southport Swimming Club Shrimp Gala will take place on Sunday 18th February 2024. The meet will take place at Knowsley Leisure And Culture Park, Longview Drive, Huyton, Liverpool L36 6EG. ​The warm up will be at 12.00pm.

The Chorley Marlins team sheet for this meet is below.

This gala is a friendly team fixture for age group 9-12 year olds usually between 8 clubs ahead of the upcoming Micro League season that starts on the 25th February for Chorley Marlins swimmers. It gives the opportunity for new swimmers to experience a swimming gala. This gala consists entirely of relay events, all of which are 25 metres and there is a total of 35 events.

We have received an allocation of 30 tickets for spectators, there will be a maximum of one ticket per swimmer / family. If you would like a spectator ticket then please comment below. Cost £5 per ticket. If there are any spare tickets, first priority will be to offer to swimmers that have never swum in a gala before.
