There will be an extra training session for swimmers who have entered ​Burnley Bobcats Last Chance County Qualifier or have already achieved County times. These sessions will help members who are competing be better prepared, reducing the impact of the Christmas training break.

Wednesday 27th December for JD and District squads and Thursday 28th for Improver, Intermediates and Junior squads, both at All Seasons Chorley, 4-6pm.

As you may be aware Brinscall Swimming Pool will close on 22nd December, with refurbishment work set to start in January. As a result Alpha Squad will no longer be able to train at Brinscall on Wednesdays. 

When we return to training in the New Year, Alphas will train Saturday 6-7pm and Sunday 5-6pm at All Seasons Chorley.

We appreciate these training times may not be ideal for everyone but Saturday evening is the only option since as well as losing the Brinscall pool time we have also lost lanes at Chorley so it has been difficult to fit in all training sessions at Chorley.

Well done to all the Marlins swimmers who competed over the weekends. Special mentions go to Emily Harrod, with Bronze Female in 50m Freestyle 9 Yrs Age Group and Bronze in Female 50m Butterfly, and  Matthew Richardson with Bronze in Open/Male 200m Backstroke (14yrs).

Chorley Marlins swimmers have been allocated seating at the side of the diving pool at John Charles Centre for Sport when they are not swimming. Please see the attached plan.

MAK Swimwear will be there all weekend. De Photo will also be in attendance, they will both be based in the dance studio upstairs. Please let the team at DE Photo know if you want your swimmers photographing specifically. Alpha Awards will be able to engrave your swimmers medals if they wish at a cost of £2.50 which will be cash only. 

There will be a raffle, tombola, sweets and ice pops to purchase so bring some change if you want to partake.

Well done to everyone who has been a part of the Chorley Marlins Arena League team. After the final fixture we have finished the season mid table.

Mini Marlins and Development Group last session will be Saturday 16th and  will start back on Saturday 6th January.
