The entire Micro League team and poolside helpers are invited to Frankie and Benny's at the Middlebrook on Tuesday the 3rd December (6:30pm prompt) for a celebratory meal
completely free of charge. It shouldn't take much more than an an hour and we'd appreciate it if everyone could turn up. If parents want to eat separately then their they will receive a complementary 20% discount. It's F&B's way of saying well done to the team in 2013. Can anyone who received a shield/trophy at last years presentation night please return them ASAP, or bring along to the presentation night this Friday so we can hand them out to this years winners.
Thanks Sue Woodcock, the Liaison officer for the district squad will be on hand on Wednesday night from 8-10pm selling tickets to Fridays presentation night. We sell tickets in advance so that we can gauge numbers for the food order, so it would be appreciated if you could purchase them in advance. If you can't make it in person then you could always email Sue to reserve your tickets or comment on this Blog post below, and pick your tickets up at the door on the night, that way we have an idea of numbers. The above gala has been heavily over-subscribed and as a result there have been many rejections. Please see attached list of swimmers/events that this concerns. If your name is not on the list all your entries have been accepted. You will be refunded as appropriate in due course. If you now wish to withdraw from the gala completely due to this (there are some swimmers now left with only one event), you may do so and receive a refund accordingly. I need to know soonest though if this is the case. Could parents of every child on the list please email me at [email protected] to let me know their intention by Tuesday 19th Nov at the latest. This includes even if they intend to swim their remaining event/s so that I know that everyone is aware of this message. Could everyone please have a look at home and check to see if you have anything extra you could donate as raffle prizes. We have our Distance gala next week, the Mini Marlins gala this weekend and then the Presentation night and all raffle prizes will help us fund raise for the club and would be very much appreciated.
Our annual distance meet is almost upon us, just a couple of things you need to be aware of. The Gala takes place at Chorley All Seasons Leisure Centre on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th November, so there will be no training or Mini's lessons on these days. Warm up on Saturday starts at 4pm Warm up on Sunday starts at 5pm The workforce helper roster is pictured below, could you confirm your roles as soon as possible with Andy Highcock on [email protected] (Could all helpers arrive 15mins prior to the warm up times above, Thanks)
