This will take effect from the 3rd June and will affect JD & District.
New JD & District Squad Training 9-11am from 3rd June The closing date for entries in to the City of Manchester Non-National Qualifier, 8th July is Monday 5th June, 8 pm in the Marlin's Postbox.
Please pay by BACs (competition account Sort Code: 20-69-85, Account: 73783138 ) or by cheque made payable to Chorley Marlins ASC. 9 and 10 year olds are NOT to enter the 100 m events.Times used must be Swim England recorded times, they can be short course converted times or long course times (use the fastest), if you are unsure please contact [email protected]. Please be aware if the gala is oversubscribed then the slowest swimmers, across age groups from events selected by the promoter, will be cut. Refunds for lost races will be given. The Rookie Lifeguard Festival went extremely well.
We had 70 swimmers competing in various events, including Life Raft towing, (loads of fun) T-Shirt relay (loads of fun) Rope throwing and rescue (not so much fun) everyone did really well, learning new skills, with the Red Team overall winners. Well done everyone, especially Mary and Claire who organised the event and all those that came down to help on the day. We hope everyone enjoyed the event. NOW COMES THE NEXT STAGE. Even if you where unable to attend the Festival you are more than welcome to join the Rookie Lifeguard program (if you are aged 9 and over and in Alphas upwards) that starts on Saturday 3rd June, 11.00am to 12pm at Brinscall. More information will be posted as it comes available, but liaison officers will be at the pool during training sessions with application forms and more information or contact us by email [email protected] should you wish to enrol on to the Rookie Lifeguard. Please check your accepted entries carefully and inform [email protected] of any errors by Tuesday 23rd May, 8 pm
Land training has been cancelled this coming Sunday 21st May due to the Rookie Lifeguard Event taking place at Chorley
Sorry for the short notice, this should have been posted when the rookie lifeguard event was advertised.
Due to the Rookie Lifeguard Event taking place at Chorley this coming Sunday, training will no longer be taking place and is cancelled. This includes Land Training Training tonight at Chorley has had to be cancelled, due to the leisure centre closing the pool because of foreign bodies in the pool.
