Entries are now open for the North Lancashire S&WPA Level 2 Age Groups and Championships 2023. The Meet will be held at Palatine Leisure Centre Blackpool on 16th/17th September and 1st October 2023.

The competition is open to swimmers who are at least 9 years old on 1st October 2023.
Age Groups: 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16/0v as at 1st October 2023

Events are 50m, 100m, 200m all strokes, 100m, 200m, 400m IM, 400m,800m, 1500m Freestyle. (400 IM, 800 & 1500 Freestyle 11 years upwards only)
Championship events are 50m Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly, and Freestyle, 100m Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly, and Freestyle. 200m Freestyle, 100m Individual Medley and 400m Ind. Medley.

Submitted times must be equal to or faster than the qualifying time attached below and have been achieved at a Level 1,2,3 or 4 licensed meet. 25m pool times or converted 50m times should be submitted. All times must have been achieved between 1 September 2022 and 3 September 2023 from a licensed meet (levels 1,2,3 & 4).

Entries close Friday 1st September 2023 and should be submitted through Swim Manager.

The last training sessions before our summer break will be on Saturday, July 29th. Training will resume on Monday, August 14th.

Mini Marlins and Development Group will resume on Saturday, August 19th.

A reminder that swimmers should arrive at the pool in sufficient time to be ready for the start of training. Swimmers arriving late disrupts training for other members of the squad.

Any swimmers who has been dropped off at the pool but then decides they are unable to train should speak to a coach so that parents can be called to pick them up.

Please make sure that swimmers are picked up on time at the end of training, we are unable to supervise swimmers after the end of the session.

The Mini Marlins gala is taking place on Saturday 8th July at Leyland Leisure Centre. As a result there will be no normal Mini Marlins (30 minute) lessons this Saturday at either Leyland or Chorley. Only swimmers who have entered the gala should attend at their normal time. For those who normally swim at Chorley, Nicola's 5:00pm group will have their races at 2:00pm and Nicola's 5:30pm group will have theirs at 2:30pm.

Due to the Mini Marlins Gala taking place on Saturday 8th July there will be no Development Group session at Leyland. Swimmers who normally train with Development Group (60 minutes) at Leyland 2-3pm can instead swim 5-6pm at All Seasons Chorley.

Entries close on Sunday 9th for ​Burnley BOBCATS "Monster Splash" Halloween Level 3 Meet - 28th and 29th October 2023. You can see details here. 

This is going to be a very popular meet so the Club needs to get our entry in on time. Please make payment at the time of entry, we are not going to be able to chase entries not paid by the closing date.  

Well done to all the swimmers who competed at the North Lancs L3 Development Meet at the  weekend. Lots of excellent swims with many new PBs. All the Marlins swimmers were great poolside and very supportive of each other.
