Congratulations to the Chorley Marlins team on coming first in Round 1 of NLSWPA Swim League. The Division 2 league table is below with full results attached:

Round 2 takes place at  Blackpool Palatine on Saturday 9th March 2024. Admission 3.30pm Warm up 3.45pm

DUEL IN THE POOL 2024

Prior to Covid this was an annual competition against Leyland Barracudas. It used to include rounds at both Chorley and Leyland, but this year it will be one meet at Leyland.

It provides the opportunity for swimmers aged 13 and over as at 31st December 2024 to swim all four strokes over both 25m and 50m.

The event takes place at Leyland Leisure Centre on Monday 5 February, starting at 8pm (prompt)

Swimmers selected will see the event under 'Teams' in Swim Manager where they should confirm their attendance.

Burnley BOBCATS "Racing for Regionals 2024" - 2nd and 3rd March 2024 - Darwen Leisure Centre.

This meet is by invitation only, extended to Chorley Marlins Swimmers who have current times within 10% of regional consideration times for their age group. For those eligible this meet is visible in Swim Manager under 'Meets'.

The Chorley School Sports Partnership Secondary Schools Gala is taking place on Wednesday 17th January. As a result there will be no Marlins training on Wednesday evening.

Swim England has published an updated version of its safeguarding policy and procedures document.

The new edition of Wavepower contains a number of important changes which aim to ensure everyone is able to take part in aquatic sports and activities in a safe, positive and enjoyable environment.

As a Swim England affiliated club, Chorley Marlins ASC is required to adopt Wavepower, which is now a ‘living and breathing’ digital-only document that will be reviewed annually but updated as and when is necessary.

The key changes introduced in the latest version cover adult safeguarding, additional measures to protect members in changing rooms, approved training, recruitment and clarification around the independence of welfare officers.

The changing room policy now prohibits all use of a mobile phone or device in a changing area during Swim England regulated activity. This includes, but is not limited to taking photos, texting, making phone calls and browsing the internet.
