Galas must be paid for at the same time as an entry is submitted. We have to submit and pay for the Clubs entry on the closing date to secure our swimmers entries. Any delay could mean swimmers missing out on their chosen events. Both the Competition Secretary and Treasurer are extremely busy and both have to spend time chasing payments to avoid your child missing out.
Popular galas such as Leeds are always oversubscribed so entries need to be submitted promptly by the Club. We request that any future gala entries are paid punctually. Unfortunately if payments are not received by the closing date your entry will not be submitted. Those with outstanding payments for Leeds are being contacted but we will not be chasing unpaid entries for future galas. Chorley Marlins summer break will be Monday July 25th to Sunday August 7th, 2022. The last training session will be on Sunday 24th and training will resume on Monday August 8th.

Hi All, I’m Luca’s dad Shaun, we have a dilemma for the weekend, unfortunately we have to sacrifice a day at the weekend to support house renovation which means Luca may miss the Saturday sessions. I am reaching out to any willing parent who would be kind enough to take Luca along with them on the Saturday. Grateful if you could contact me on 07500044971, thanks, Shaun

Members may be interested in Sprint With The Stars taking place at The London Aquatics Centre on 3rd September 2022. Sprint With The Stars is a unique event where swimmers race for their chance to compete in the showcase finals and race some of the swimming’s global superstars including Adam Peaty, Anna Hopkin and James Guy.
Adam Peaty have given an explanation of what the event involves: Hi, Over the last few days you may have all seen the news about Sprint With The Stars. I wanted to share a little bit about it from my perspective as it is a truly unique event and one I cannot wait to share with aspiring athletes. It is an event that was piloted in 2019 and it was so successful, and this year it is going to a whole new level. Let me set the scene... On the 3rd of September 2022, at the world’s most prestigious - The London Aquatics Centre - you will have the opportunity to race some of the world’s top swimmers! It is a unique event where swimmers race for their chance to compete in the showcase finals and race some of the swimming’s global superstars. Throughout the showcase finals, swimmers will experience a true world class entrance as they line up right next to the stars. There are seven age groups (9/10/11/12/13/14/15&ov) to maximise the opportunities for spaces in the finals. Following the conclusion of the heat’s session, the fastest nine swimmers in each age group will progress into our showcase finals where the remaining lane will be filled by the Star in their respective stroke. The showcase finals will be a staggered start, so all finalists will receive an age-related head start compared to the Star they are racing and it is the Star's job to chase down everyone. This means it is going to be very fast and very close racing and the atmosphere is going to be incredible. The stars include myself, James Guy, Medi Harris, Molly Renshaw, Jacob Whittle, Anna Hopkin and AP Athletes Sydney Pickrem, Luke Greenbank. Between us, we have 13 Olympic medals, 16 World Records and countless World Championship Titles! I have raced in five Olympic finals, and I am happy to share with you the atmosphere when we last ran this event gave me that similar goosebump feeling. It really will be a special experience and one I’m proud to be involved in as I know are all of the seven other stars. You can find out more and book your space at the link below. I can't wait to see you behind the racing blocks!
