Chorley Marlins are happy to express their thanks to Procter & Gamble and in particular Simon Bourne for their generous donation that has allowed us to purchase our new swimming training aid, an underwater camera. Not any camera though a GoPro Hero3 Black Edition non the less, offering quality underwater footage for our coaches to help hone the swimmers finely tuned skills. Chorley Marlins Micro League team were treated to lunch by their new sponsor Frankie & Benny’s. Head Coach of Marlins, Mary Parkinson, was presented with new t-shirts and caps for the team branded with the Frankie & Benny’s logo. Area Marketing Coordinator of Frankie & Benny’s Jacqueline Fletcher “Said Frankie & Benny’s are delighted to sponsor Marlins and support the team”. After lunch the Micro League team headed off to Southport to compete in the 2nd round of the competition and finished in a very credible 2nd place. Well Done all :) Just so that everyone knows the only training sessions that are cancelled are as follows: Easter Sunday 31st March - Brinscall 8am-10am Cancelled. We've only just been informed from the leisure center that on both Good Friday and Easter Monday they intend to close at 4pm. It is a requirement that anybody who helps out with the children at the club, poolside or otherwise must have a current CRB certificate. If you require one then please organize a time to see our new welfare officer Suzanne Highcock.

The DBS now issue disclosure certificates The ASA is committed to ensuring that all children who participate in ASA activities should be able to take part in an enjoyable and safe environment and be safeguarded from harm. Please see below for a guide to who a DBS check would be for: Excellent news for all our Micro League swimmers, we need as many of you as possible to attend a free meal this Saturday 2:30pm-3:30pm, to show appreciation for Frankie & Benny's generosity in sponsoring our Micro League team. The meal is booked for 2:30pm this Saturday 23rd March at the Middlebrook restaurant, and we would like you all to arrive promptly for a photo opportunity with the local press and then you can tuck into your free meal yum yum :) Could every swimmer who's coming please bring along your Frankie & Benny's T-shirts that you got at the first gala in Lancaster The free meal extends to swimmers and coaches only so it will be a drop off and pick them up later deal, unless you would like to book a table yourselves, in which case contact Frankie and Benny's as soon as possible to book a table. Don't forget to tell them you're a parent of one of the swimmers present.
