Due to lack of swimmers and coaches because of the Bank Holiday half term weekend we have decided to postpone the time trials that were planned to take place tomorrow night, Sunday 26th.
​We will run them the following week Sunday 2nd June.

Training will take place as normal it will be a normal session with no timings taking place.

Round 3 of the North Lancs league gala will be next Saturday 1st June at the Palentine pool Blackpool.
​Admission from 3:30pm, warm up at 3:45pm and a start time of 4:15pm.

Please have a look at the team sheet attached and comment on your availability below.

Please note that during your normal swimming session there will be time trials for 100m's in all strokes this Sunday 26th May.

Could we remind swimmers to bring an extra towel along or hoodie to keep warm whilst on poolside between events.

Great North Swim Half Mile – 9th June 2019

Do you like distance and want to give open water swimming a try?

Over the weekend of 7th to the 9th June is the Great North Swim and open water swimming festival held in Lake Windermere. They have a half mile (800m) swim on 9th June at 13:00. The event is open to children aged 12 and over on the day and is held at Brockholes visitors centre on Windermere.
All participants will receive a finishers medal and t-shirt.

This is a safe and friendly event, lots of support kayakers and safety boats.

It’s a family friendly event with an event village and people often swimming to raise money for charity.

Myself (Dave Jackson) and Assistant Head Coach Ewan Smallwood will be taking part in the 2 mile wave at 10:30. I am also taking part in the 1 mile wave prior to the half mile so will be there to watch the start and welcome in the finishers.
You can hire a wet-suit from the event for £30, and I am speaking to the endurance store based in Wrightington to see if they will offer a discounted hire for the event.

We'd like to remind everyone that training will be disrupted this weekend due to the Rookie Lifeguard Festival taking place at Chorley on Sunday.

​There will be NO Land Training
​There will be NO Training at Chorley 5-8pm

Our very own Andrea Lawless Sprint Gala is in June and it is expected that all our competition squads compete in this gala.

In July there is the North Lancs development meet.

Both galas have an early closing date so don't delay enter today.

Only 12 swimmers have signed up, so far, for next weekends Rookie Lifeguard Festival. Could we please have as many people sign up as possible before the closing date on Sunday 12th May.
