After a great weekends swimming at Blackpool Rocks we have to take time to congratulate Alex Highcock in achieving an outstanding 2:48.89 in her 200m breaststroke. This not only gave her the gold medal at Blackpool but also a second under the National Qualifying Time of 2:49.83. All Alex needs to do now is repeat the same time at the Regional Championships next week to be able to enter the Nationals in July. Such a great achievement at such a young age Well Done Alex, we're all proud of you and Chorley Marlins will be cheering you on and wishing you well. A full roundup of the weekends events will be listed in the "gala reports" section of the website as soon as results are available.
